On the occasion of the regular Limes Colloquia organised by the German Limes Commission, scholars from all over Germany come together to present and discuss the latest research on the borders of the Roman Empire, the ‘Limites et Ripae’. The lectures are always thematically diverse and, like the current research methodology in archaeology, increasingly interdisciplinary.
