11th Colloquium of the German Limes Commission LIMITES ET RIPAE III
On 23 and 24 September, we enjoyed a successful and exciting two-day colloquium on the UNESCO World Heritage Site ‘Frontiers of the Roman Empire’ in Rottweil. During the colloquium, numerous new and ongoing research projects on the Limes were presented. The lecture programme offered the approximately 110 experts in attendance the opportunity to discuss the research results presented as well as the questions and theories associated with the new data.
We, the German Limes Commission, would like to thank our cooperation partners (the State Office for the Preservation of Historical Monuments in the Stuttgart Regional Council, the Limes Information Centre in Aalen, the city of Rottweil and, of course, the entire team at the Dominican Museum in Rottweil) for their tremendous support. Many thanks to everyone who took part in our 11th colloquium and whose hard work and research contributed to making it such a great event.
